About Jamie Ostrander

Independent is not just another word to Cape Wealth Management (CWM) President Jamie Ostrander.  It's the reason the company exists. Today, CWM clients are independent from large Wall Street firms. While the investment advice industry constantly evolves, the client’s needs for an independent perspective will never change.  CWM provides that independent voice.

Jamie held senior management positions and operated as a financial advisor for Edward Jones Investments, Kemp Financial Management, Bank of America, and most recently, for Riverside National Bank.
 
“During the past nine years, my most important lessons have come from hundreds of client conversations,” says Jamie. “Those conversations enhanced my professional experience and shaped my investment philosophy.” Client conversations continue to be at the heart of CWM, creating productive relationships of lasting value.
 
As a middle linebacker at Melbourne Central Catholic High School and a defensive end at Taylor University, Jamie enjoyed the strategies of defense. “Knowing your opponent’s next play is not part of any contest,” Jamie explains. “The key to achieving success is relying on the fundamentals of defense.” Similarly, no one can anticipate what the future holds for capital markets or for our personal lives. But the fundamental lessons of a well- planned and well-executed defense can productively apply to financial planning.
 
Jamie is still a competitor, although he’s traded in his football pads for golf clubs. He also enjoys camaraderie and serving through various projects with his church and community groups.
 
Jamie and his wife Candace have been married since 2001, and have two sons and a daughter. “My family is a source of focus and inspiration for me,” Jamie says. “My desire is that CWM serves other families by helping them recognize and achieve their financial planning goals.”
